Terms & Conditions

General

1.1        The Client will be deemed to have accepted LIVforPETS terms and conditions (as laid out here), upon booking of services.

1.2.       LIVforPETS reserves the right to modify, add or remove parts of these terms and conditions by posting amendments. Please periodically check these terms and conditions for changes. Booking of services after posting changes will be deemed as acceptance to such changes.

1.3        LIVforPETS holds public liability insurance; Our carers are insured for the safe care and transportation of your pet(s). It is the Clients responsibility to ensure the property, contents and pets are adequately insured.


Meet & Greet

2.1        LIVforPETS will arrange a free 'Meet and Greet' session with all new Clients, before any dog walking or pet sitting is booked. This gives us the opportunity to meet you and your pet(s) and for them to meet us. During the meet and greet, we will discuss your requirements and your pet(s) daily routine.

2.2        LIVforPETS reserve the right to refuse services to any dog deemed dangerous.

2.3        Initial walks booked are on a trial basis while LIVforPETS assesses your dogs needs and requirements, including but not limited to compatibility within existing groups, social confidence and happiness.


LIVforPETS Online Portal

3.1        LIVforPETS hold the right to refuse commencement of any services until all information and permissions are given on the Online Portal. This information, provided by the Client, must be accurate to the best of their knowledge. It is the Clients responsibility to update this information on a regular basis.


Payment

4.1        Pet Sit bookings are subject to a 25% deposit payable in advance. Final balance due within 7 days of the invoice date. LIVforPETS accepts payment via Cash and Bank Transfer; Account details can be found on our invoices.


Late Payment

5.1        If payment is not made by the date specified on the invoice, a late payment fee of £10 will be charged.

5.2        If late payments continue, LIVforPETS reserve the right to terminate any future sessions booked, until full payment is made and request payment in advance for any services booked.


Cancellations

6.1        Pet Sitting services; deposits will be refunded in full, or the booking can be rescheduled when LIVforPETS are informed, 14 days or more prior to the booking start date.

6.2        Dog Walking services; Full service charge will be invoiced if cancellation is made within 24 hours of the scheduled service date.


Bookings

7.1        Regular scheduled services will be booked automatically by our online system, LIVforPETS email the following months scheduled services around the 3rd week of the month, to confirm any changes required.

7.2        Ad-Hoc bookings, can be requested via our online portal, text, call or emailing. LIVforPETS will do all we can to accommodate your request around our regular scheduled services.

7.3        Last Minute Bookings, please contact us via phone or text. Where the request is made on the same day, as the booking required; A last minute booking fee will be added to the booking, to cover the operational costs associated with accommodating these requests.


Discounts and Promotions

8.1        Any promotion or discounts are offered at the discretion of LIVforPETS. LIVforPETS reserve the right to withdraw promotions or discounts at any time, without notice.

8.2        ACTIVE DISCOUNTS

No current active Discounts.


Pet Emergencies

9.1        If an emergency occurs or your pet suddenly falls ill, LIVforPETS will contact you or your emergency contact, if you are unavailable. Where possible LIVforPETS will take your pet to the Clients’ registered vet; However, if deemed necessary by our team we will take your pet to the closest veterinary practice.

9.2        The client is responsible for settling any fees incurred with the vet directly.

9.3        LIVforPETS cannot be held liable for any loss, injury or death to a pet either inside or outside of the home whilst in our care.


Day & Night Pet Sitting

10.1     During day & night pet sitting services, LIVforPETS will walk your dog(s) for a minimum of 1.5 hours per day.

10.2     LIVforPETS reserves the right to refuse day & night pet sitting services, to additional dogs brought in from a different household.

10.3     LIVforPETS cannot guarantee fulfilment of pet sitting services, where the client adds additional pets to the household, after the service booking has been confirmed.


Service Area

11.1      LIVforPETS cover Slip End and the surrounding areas upto a radius of 5 miles. Service requests outside this area will incur a £0.80 charge per mile per session.


Intolerances & Allergies

12.1      LIVforPETS will moderately use treats when rewarding good behaviour. The Client is responsible for accurately completing the customer fact finder form or online portal, detailing any allergies, intolerances or special feeding your pet requires.


Dogs

13.1      The Client is responsible to inform LIVforPETS of any behavioural concerns including aggression, that may affect the dogs suitability for walking. The Client accepts full liability for any damage or loss caused by their dog.

13.2      LIVforPETS walk entire dogs, additional trial walks maybe required to carefully assess suitability and behaviour within a group walking environment.

13.3      As per kennel club and veterinary recommendations, puppy’s should only receive 5 minutes of walking per month of age, twice daily. LIVforPETS will therefore only accepts dogs 12months and over on our 60 minute group walks. Specific puppy sessions can be arranged for dogs under 12 months of age.


Vaccinations

14.1      The Client agrees their pet(s) are on regular flea and worming treatment. For dog walking the Client agrees to show proof of vaccinations (including kennel cough). Although LIVforPETS takes precautions to minimise the spread of diseases from materials, travel cages your pet(s) come into contact with whilst in our care; The Client accepts there is no guarantee there is no risk of disease, and is fully responsible to ensure their pet(s) are appropriately protected against the risk of disease.


Key Release

15.1      With the Clients prior consent (Key Release Form) LIVforPETS can retain a set of keys for services booked. Keys will be kept securely, away from the Clients address and marked only with an internal office code.

15.2      LIVforPETS will not leave your keys within your home at the end of the last visit, in case the client is delayed in getting back. The Client can collect their keys by prior arrangement with LIVforPETS. Alternatively LIVforPETS provide a key return service for a small fee of £3.00.


Parking

16.1      If the Client lives in a restricted parking zone, permits may need to be provided to LIVforPETS. This will be evaluated as necessary.


Media

17.1      Unless the Client states otherwise,  LIVforPETS will take photos of your pet(s) during their activities. These may be used on our website and Facebook page.

17.2      Written feedback from the Client may be used for marketing purposes on the LIVforPETS website.


Walking Equipment

18.1      It is the Clients responsibility to ensure their pet(s) have a suitable collar and ID tag with the Clients details. The Client is to advise LIVforPETS if any specific training aids are used, Harness, Halti, Figure of 8 lead, Muzzle. LIVforPETS will not be held responsible for the damage or loss of any leads, harnesses or training aids.


Walking off Lead

19.1      LIVforPETS will only walk dogs off-lead, where the Client has provided prior consent to do so on the portal. LIVforPETS reserves the right to place dogs on-lead when deemed necessary. LIVforPETS will use long line leads, to confirm recall is established before letting dogs off-lead for the first time.


Group Walking

20.1      LIVforPETS will only walk dogs in small controlled groups. Up to 3-4 small to medium dogs together, or 2-3 medium to large dogs. We will only pair suitable breeds together for the safety, enrichment and welfare of all dogs being walked.


Weather

21.1      The well-being of all pets is our utmost priority, if adverse weather such as extreme heat, storms or snow threatens to compromise safety for your pet(s) or our carers, LIVforPETS reserves the right to cut short or substitute the walking activity with an indoor service.


Pet Waste

22.1      LIVforPETS will dispose of your pet(s) waste.

22.2      For cat litter trays & small animal cages/hutches we request that you provide all necessary items such as scooper, litter/bedding and disposal bags. Please inform where you would like the waste bags disposed of.

22.3      For dog walking we will dispose of you pet(s) waste, LIVforPETS provides bags for this. Occasionally, it may be necessary to bring the waste bags back for disposal in your outside bin.


Household

23.1      The Client gives consent to LIVforPETS to enter their Home when completing the ‘Access to Property’ section on the online portal; for the purposes to provide service(s) requested by the Client.

23.2      If a household emergency occurs, we will contact you or your emergency contact, if you are unavailable to arrange remedial work.


End of Service Notice

24.1      A notice period of 1 month must be given, in writing, if either party wishes to terminate their services from the other. If the Client wishes to determinate immediately or within the 4 week notice period, full payment must be made to cover any remaining sessions booked.

24.2      LIVforPETS hold the right to retain the Clients key/s until full payment or the remaining balance is paid and received by LIVforPETS, thereupon, the clients key will be returned.


Alternations to Terms and Conditions due to COVID-19

Meet & Greets
2.4 All meet and greets will be held primarily in an outside environment such as front or back garden with assess inside the house only to be shown where pet items are stored by the Client. During this time, all individuals must wear a face mask and the LIVforPETS team will wear protective gloves to minimise any cross contamination.

LIVforPETS Online Portal
3.2 LIVforPETS have stopped the use of paperwork such as Client Forms, to minimise cross contamination and the use of our Online Portal is recommended. For those Clients, unable to use the Online Portal, LIVforPETS can fill in the information supplied by the Client.

Cancellations
6.3 Due to travel restrictions caused by COVID-19, LIVforPETS understands that holiday dates and pet sit bookings may have to be postponed or cancelled. LIVforPETS will hold any pet sit deposits made and will use this towards any other future pet sit booking within a 12 month period from 1st January 2022.

Day & Night Pet Sitting
10.4 On the day of your departure, we request you (client) to have already left your home and for it to have been cleaned & wiped down (door handles, light switches, taps etc.)
10.5 Throughout our stay, we will wipe down areas of regular use e.g. kitchen and bathroom surfaces, door handles and light switches. We will continually sanitise our hands and wear gloves where necessary.
10.6 We will bring our own bedding, please remove all bedding, duvet and pillows from the bed and store away so we don’t need to touch this.
10.7 On the day of your return we will do a thorough anti-bacterial wipe down and wear gloves for replacing bin bags and any other activities requiring us to touch surfaces after having cleaned.
10.8 Please message us on the day of your return with estimated arrival time, so we can make sure we have left before you arrive home.

Vaccinations
14.2 LIVforPETS have made further steps to minimise the spread or cross contamination by daily wash downs of the crates and vans with a pet safe disinfectant and washing of towels, bedding and leads.

Key Release
15.3 LIVforPETS is limiting the use of paperwork to minimise cross contamination. Clients can consent for LIVforPETS to hold a key to the Clients property via our Online Portal.

Walking Equipment
18.2 Following COVID-19 government and DEFRA regulations, LIVforPETS will use our own leads when walking Clients’ dogs, to minimise cross contamination. All equipment is cleaned and disinfected with a pet safe spray after each use.

Weather
21.2 Substitution to an indoor activity session can only be done, if the Client is not at home at the time. Otherwise, the session will have to be postponed to another day.

Household
23.3 The LIVforPETS team will wear a face mask and gloves at all times, while inside the Clients home.
